The selection is almost endless, so you need to narrow it down a bit:

Does he like fiction? If so, what genre? For example, thrillers, comedy, crime, war stories, etc.

What about non-fiction? Books are available related to any other hobby or interest you can think of. Think also about favourite Films and TV shows as many of these have tie-in books as well.

Who does he admire? There are so many biographies out there that his sporting hero, favourite music star, historical figure, etc., is bound to be covered.

Sounds odd to get a magazine as a present, but what about a subscription? There are magazines out there for any interest. Truly a present that will last all year!
